Family therapy or family counselling is designed to focus on a nuclear family or a step family and in some cases, extended family, to help in tackling a tough situation or a series of unresolved issues faced regularly in day-to-day lives of the family members. Family therapy focuses on understanding the on-going issues and creating a better functioning environment. Family therapy focuses on the issues like, divorce, grief, children issues, financial issues, mental health issues (like, depression), substance abuse, chronic illness, regular conflicts etc.

    There are regular parental conflicts in your family, which sometimes leads to domestic violence. Also, there is constant abuse, which sometimes becomes difficult to handle.
